Our client, a well-established wine estate, based in the Durbanville area, is currently seeking to employ a Restaurant Manager. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal, management and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: *promote wine sales to all diners and tasting clients and company brand in conjunction with the marketing team *consulting with potential clients for weddings, events, functions and corporate events *stocktaking *daily cash up *personnel management *organise and coordinate front of house and back of house operations efficiently *handling of customer complaints efficiently *gathering customer feedback and recommending improvements for menus (limited offering) and wine tastings *recordkeeping *all other functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Matric; • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar position; • Strong management skills; • Excellent knowledge of local wine; • Basic understanding of Human Resource legislation and procedures (Hospitality industry); • Excellent communication skills; • Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s license.
