Bosman Hermanus is looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, and energetic individual to join our team in Upper Hemel-en-Aarde, Hermanus. The ideal candidate can work independently and, in a team, be honest and reliable, take initiative and be proactive. The ideal candidate is a driven, presentable individual with a friendly demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills. A hands-on approach to the front of house management, extreme attention to detail, and the ability to effectively lead and manage a small dynamic team is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the kitchen *Liaise with chef consultant, manager, and suppliers daily *Assisting with the menu development *Assist and mentor kitchen assistants with duties *Assuring a high standard of production *Responsible for managing all food/catering preparations *Responsible for plating foods and quality control of each item before leaving the kitchen *Managing the food stock levels and quality levels *Doing stock takes and record keeping *Ordering of all catering equipment, food items and cleaning material *Managing kitchen hygiene *Cleaning *All other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Matric required, formal hospitality qualifications will be advantageous; • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a tasting room environment will be an added advantage; • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office); • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Own reliable transport; • Willingness to work hours as per industry requirements, including weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours.
