Ceres Fruit Growers, one of the leading fruit, packaging and marketing companies in SA, has the above position available for an energetic and professional person, with excellent analytical problem solving skills and numerical abilities to join their team at their Ceres (Western Cape) offices. The incumbent will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Managing controls and systems regarding buying, issuing and general stock management *Work closely with production planner, forecasting supply and demand to have optimal stock levels *Ensure packing material stock availability for marketing requirements *Supervise inventory counting processes and information management reporting *Investigate and clear inventory variances *Issue daily/weekly purchase orders and follow up on outstanding orders *Manage the administrative functions to ensure accurate stock on system, reconciliations, inventory targets and purchase orders *Maintain relationships with suppliers *Ensure adherence to SHEQ/ BRC and relevant fruit industry standards and audits *Personnel management *Any other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Cost Accounting/Logistics or similar tertiary qualification; • 3 - 5 Years' related experience; • Computer literacy: MS Office (strong Excel ability); • Experience in managing a high volume goods environment, forecasting, management of stock, and purchasing; • Previous experience in the fruit industry advantageous; • Knowledge of supplier database for packaging material.
