Philagro SA, a leading supplier of quality agricultural products, has an opportunity available for an ambitious Row Crop & Vegetable expert to become a Technical Product Manager. The main focus of the role will be to build a client base and to drive the Philagro product offering in the Row crop and Vegetable markets through technical support and demand creation. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Marketing Manager, working across the Row crop and Vegetable production regions of South Africa, with a focus on the Highveld, Eastern Free State and KZN regions. Duties will be focused on herbicides, insecticides and fungicides, and will include *technical support at grower & agent level *product training of distributing agents *sales of products relevant to row crops *management of budgets *product stewardship *all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • A relevant BSc qualification (MSc preferred); • 5 - 8 years' experience, specifically with row crops and vegetables; • A background with plant physiology will be beneficial; • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Willingness to travel.
