Bosman Adama (Pty) Ltd is looking for a driven, analytical Financial Cost Accountant with excellent accounting knowledge and strong interpersonal skills to join their dynamic team. The position will be based at their premises at Voor Paardeberg, Slent Road, Paarl. The incumbent will be responsible for the processing, recording, monitoring, and control of daily transactions of which reliable management information is compiled. The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Manager and will be responsible for: *Determining actual costs of manufacturing/providing a service, scrutinizing associated company expenses, and analysing profitability *Project financial analysis and reporting (e.g., Revenue, Costs, WIP, BOMs) in liaison with project management, as well as budget variances *Work closely with Project management and Sales teams *Cost Centre variance analysis *Excise duty and SAWIS returns: Ensure all tax reporting requirements and return completion are dealt with accurately and with the necessary insight to ensure regulatory compliance *Preparing all relevant general ledger reconciliations to identify and resolve potential issues *Maintaining cost accounting systems *Management Accounting duties, preparation of monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget *Reporting to management specifying and comparing factors affecting process and profitability of products and services *Oversee periodic stock counts *Full accounting up to trial balance for certain entities in the group *Assist operational management with their budget processes *Assist with cost saving initiatives *All other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Management Accounting; • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience; • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office required, knowledge of Sage Evolution accounting software will be advantageous); • Own reliable transport.
