PB Liquor Merchants is seeking to appoint the services of a competitive sales person who is passionate about alcoholic products, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, to join their team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented individual with excellent planning and organisation skills as well as persuasive communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a matrix reporting structure.

The successful candidate will mainly be responsible for promoting liquor products with potential and existing on-consumption and off-consumption customers, and support the supply and distribution of products to customers in order to grow the customer base and increase wine sales in the West Rand/Northern Suburbs of Gauteng.

Duties and responsibilities will include: *Identify potential customers in the market and from the client base of the distributors *Plan sales calls, routes and servicing cycles *Meeting with potential or existing customers to promote products and attend to customers’ service requirements *Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships *Monitor & analyse sales performance to identify performance trends and draw conclusions regarding results *Report on results of campaigns, incentive programmes and sales performance to suppliers, sales management and customers and provide recommendations for improvement *Monitor, evaluate, plan and control stock levels in the warehouse *Provide input to problem solving in the supply and distribution chain *all other duties related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Matric, a relevant tertiary qualification will be to the candidate's advantage;
• 3-5 years’ experience in liquor sales in both the On and/or Off consumption market, including experience in stock planning and control;
• Knowledge of wine, beer and spirits categories and consumption preferences;
• Proven track record in meeting customer growth and product sales targets;
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office);
• Drivers license and own reliable transport;
• Must be able to work flexible working hours;
• Willingness to travel and work overtime and weekends when required.
