Our client, a premium solar power and security systems provider, with offices in Cape Town (Paarl) and Middelburg, is currently recruiting for the exciting role of a Corporate Legal Advisor, to be based in Paarl. This exciting role takes responsibility for general corporate legal advice, drafting and checking contractual commitments and be the custodian of legal compliance. This position requires a thorough and focused approach from a qualified legal practitioner, who can serve the Management team as trusted advisor (legal). This role would typically work alone, yet be involved in most client negotiations, contractual commitments entered into or related affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Advise the business units on their legal obligations, rights and responsibilities *Provide advice on business structures and evaluate potential ventures or partnership *Structure transactions, draft documents, negotiate deals, attend meetings and assist in making final decisions towards the end of negotiations *Work towards ensuring that the provisions of all contracts are clear, unambiguous and enforceable by all affected parties *All other legal and admin functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • A relevant tertiary qualification (BCom, Diploma or similar, in Finance, Operations, Planning or Engineering); • Relevant experience in sourcing and supplier management; • Excellent computer proficiency; • The ability to plan under pressure and act swiftly when quick turnaround times are critical.
