Diemersdal Wine Estate currently has an exciting position available for a Junior Winemaker situated at their new cellar in Darling, Western Cape. The ideal candidate is a diligent, detail-oriented person with strong interpersonal skills that has the ability to work independently. The Junior Winemaker will report to the Senior Winemaker, and will be responsible for (but not limited to): *winemaking process as part of the winemaking team *blending and stabilisation of wine *coordination of harvest activities *quality control *inventory management *cellar staff management *cellar hygiene *liaison on wine sales, wine tastings and promotions *wine/cellar administration, invoicing and record keeping *all other functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Diploma/Degree in Viticulture and Oenology; • Approximately 5 years' relevant experience; • Knowledge of different quality control systems (IPW, HACCP, ISO9001) • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, WineMS); • Valid driver’s license.
