Rooiberg Winery situated in the breath-taking Robertson Wine Valley, is looking for a hands-on, driven Sales Manager that has a proven track record to take responsibility for wine sales in primarily the local- and international bottle market. The ideal candidate has excellent negotiation, problem-solving and interpersonal skills (Afrikaans & English), is willing to go the extra mile and enjoys working in a small team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the implementation and execution of the strategic sales and marketing plan. This includes but is not limited to: *Implementation and execution of goals, strategies and action plans *Strengthening and maintaining brand image and positioning *Maintaining and growing existing customers/markets *Identifying, developing, and growing new customers/markets *Liaising with national distributors and international agents with respect to sales, wine allocation and marketing plans *Monitoring changing sales and marketing trends *Attending wine shows (national/international) *Compilation and implementation of annual budgets for sales and marketing *Reporting and all other tasks associated with the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • A relevant post matric qualification (Sales, Marketing or Commerce) would be beneficial but not a minimum requirement; • 3-4 years’ experience in a similar position in the wine industry; • Knowledge of wine and the national and international wine industry; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office); • Driver’s license and own reliable transport; • Flexibility and willingness to travel locally and international (international once or twice per annum).
