Our client, a well-established wine estate, based in the prestigious Stellenbosch wine growing region, is currently seeking to employ a Restaurant & Hospitality Manager. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. The successful applicant will report directly to the Operational Director and be responsible for: *promoting the winery, wine sales and company brand in conjunction with the marketing team *consulting with potential clients for weddings, events, functions and corporate events *stocktaking *daily cash up *personnel management *organise and coordinate front of house and back of house operations efficiently *handling of customer complaints efficiently *gathering customer feedback and recommending improvements for menus and wine tastings *recordkeeping *all other functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • A tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or related, will be to the applicant’s advantage; • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position; • Strong management skills; • Local wine knowledge will be advantageous; • Basic understanding of Human Resource legislation and procedures (Hospitality industry); • Excellent communication skills; • Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s license.
