Our client, situated in Prieska (Northern Cape), is looking for a dynamic individual as a Production Manager for a mixed farming enterprise (nuts, corn/wheat, onions). The ideal candidate thrives in a high pressure, target driven environment, is a good planner and executor, detail orientated, driven by excellence and has a continuous improvement mindset. An innovative, technological inclination are further requirements for the role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of production, including: *management of all production processes (irrigation, fertilization, spraying, pruning and harvesting, etc.) *oversight and coordination of machinery, equipment, and facility maintenance *personnel and contractor management *record keeping and compilation of production reports *management of the production budget and operating costs *all other duties related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification; • 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role; • Valid driver's license; • Good computer skills (MS Office, specifically Excel); • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English).
