The successful candidate will work closely with their draughting team and be responsible for (but not limited to): *all costing updates on the standard range of products *estimations for new or custom designs *comparisons of estimated versus actual costs upon the completion of a product *all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Matric with Mathematics; • Tertiary qualification in manufacturing/engineering/cost estimation; • Experience in a similar position in the mechanical manufacturing/engineering field highly advantageous; • Knowledge of pricing models, cost management tools and estimation techniques; • Understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes and components and ability to evaluate and analyse associated costs; • Strong computer skills [MS Office (especially Excel), experience with Access beneficial)]; • Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans and English); • Own reliable transport.
