Our client, situated between Stellenbosch and Paarl, is looking for an experienced, energetic and well-groomed General Manager with excellent planning- and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will cultivate a high morale and positive culture by taking the lead, handling pressure, and ultimately succeeding in a fastmoving food service and catering environment. Duties include: *managing monthly planning of operational resources *coordinating all restaurant activities *staff management and administration *managing stock control and all administrative tasks *full Front-of-House duties *ensuring excellent customer satisfaction *managing cash-ups and financial controls *managing production process-flow of bakery and confectionary departments *assist in producing high quality fresh products *quality control of service levels and fresh products produced on a daily basis *all managerial and admin tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Experience as Chef de Partie will be advantageous; alternatively 3-5 years’ experience in a similar managerial role in a restaurant, bakery or coffee shop; • Knowledge of food quality and the ability to deliver top quality food and confectionaries to customers; • Excellent attention to detail; • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, specifically Excel); • Own car and valid license.
