Our client, a European Family Office specialising in private equity investments in Europe and the US, require a Financial Accountant to join their small financial and administration team. The role will be based in the Northern Suburbs, Western Cape, and will report directly to the locally based CFO. If you are a motivated self-starter, detail-oriented and articulate with a keen sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently, this role will be perfect for you. You will be responsible for: *the full bookkeeping and accounting function to trial balance of all group companies registered in various international jurisdictions *drafting financial statements *assisting with the group consolidation *liaising with auditors *liaising with external advisors to ensure tax compliance *preparing monthly management accounts *maintaining reports (performance, investment schedules and liquidity) *compliance with internal governance and controls, including KYC and AML requirements in various jurisdictions *facilitate internal and external approval processes on new investments *banking payments *facilitate international transactions *analyse balance sheet accounts and monthly reconciliations *any other related tasks as may be required from time to time. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Professional Registration (SAICA, SAIPA or equivalent); • 5+ years of appropriate, post-article accounting experience; • Experience in international jurisdictions and/or the investment sector would be highly beneficial; • Experience in Cloud-based accounting software like Xero; • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft software ecosystem will be beneficial; • Occasional international travel may be required from time to time that would not exceed two weeks per annum.
