Our client, a new guesthouse opening in the picturesque Devon Valley area (Stellenbosch, Western Cape) has the above opportunity available for an organised, self-motivated, creative, and reliable individual who is able to work independently and with precision under pressure. The incumbent will be responsible for (but not limited to): *recipe and menu development *food cost and budgeting *preparation of breakfast, light lunch, tea pastries & late afternoon snacks before departure *stock control *staff management *tidying of kitchen after breakfast, tea and lunches *adherence to relevant kitchen health and safety procedures *oversee greenhouse vegetable growing *all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or accredited practical training; • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a similar position; • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Excellent timekeeping and reliability; • Own reliable transport.
