Our client, Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, situated in the scenic Paarl area, has the above position available for a detailed, driven Senior Accountant with excellent administration, leadership and interpersonal skills (Afrikaans and English). The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and be responsible for (but not limited to) the following: *leading a team (consisting of a Bookkeeper, a Creditors Clerk and a Stock and Logistics Coordinator) *control over all accounting of transactions up to trial balance *statutory requirements (VAT, PAYE, SDL, UIF, WCA, Excise Duty, Liquor license, etc.) *trade debtors (wine sales) *hospitality sales (debtors)/ cash control accounts *stock *creditors/ payments *salaries *fixed assets *all other general and administrative tasks relevant to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting; • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, Pastel, SARS E-filing and Easy file); • Driver’s license and own reliable transport; • Experience working in the wine industry advantageous.
