Ceres Koelkamers, based in Ceres, Western Cape, is looking to appoint an onsite Refrigeration Manager to manage multiple sites (including Ceres Koelkamers, Cape Fruit Coolers & Dutoit Agri). The ideal candidate has extensive experience, has the ability to manage internal staff (responsible for the day-to-day tasks & monitoring of cold rooms); as well as the management of external contractors & suppliers. The incumbent will be responsible for: *The effectiveness of ammonia plants (19.4 MWR) through ongoing maintenance and upgrades *Compliance of SABS10147 of ammonia plants *Oversight over installation of ammonia machinery, network and electrical installations *Budget management per plant in cooperation with inhouse managers *Risk and energy management *all other aspects related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • 5 to 10 years in-depth ammonia experience; • BEng Engineering degree / Diploma in engineering / refrigeration craftsmanship; • SAQGAS category B Certificate; • Fundamental electrical knowledge; • Experience with refrigeration of fresh produce (fruits & vegetables) will be advantageous.
