Our client, a farm situated in Prieska, Northern Cape, currently has the abovementioned position available for an individual with excellent supervision, irrigated farm production and communication skills (Afrikaans and English). The successful candidate will report directly to the owners and will be responsible for the full farming function, which includes the following: •Management of all production processes (irrigation, fertilization, spraying, harvesting, etc.) •Basic farm maintenance •Farm worker staff management •Record keeping and compilation of production reports •Management of the production budget •Management of operating costs •Quality management and all other tasks relevant to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • A relevant tertiary qualification; • Minimum of 2 years’ farming experience with maize, wheat, lucerne and onion production; • Knowledge of Irrigation farming systems and best practice; • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office); • Driver’s license.
