The successful candidate is an excellent communicator with a tertiary qualification in Viticulture and Oenology and has excellent computer skills. Viticultural knowledge and winemaking experience will be to the candidate’s advantage. The Assistant Winemaker will report directly to the Cellar Master and will be responsible for: *coordination of cellar and harvest activities *the entire winemaking process *blending and stabilization of wine *assist with planning and scheduling of bottling *management of quality control systems (ISO 9001:2015) *assist with marketing activities and hosting of wine tastings *inventory control *management and supervision of cellar staff *assist with procurement of chemicals *cellar administration and all other tasks related to the position.
