Klawer Wine Cellar, a well-known cellar situated on the banks of the Olifants River, 12 minutes from Vredendal, requires an energetic person with a positive outlook and spontaneous personality for the abovementioned role. The successful candidate will be responsible for: *welcoming guests/visitors in a sophisticated manner *presenting wine tastings *conducting wine sales *sharing interesting information about the picturesque Namaqualand, the West Coast wine styles and other tourism and wine information *assistance with marketing-related activities *online/telephonic wine sales *all related office and administrative tasks. Applications are expected from candidates who comply with the following criteria: • Ability to offer clients a memorable wine tasting experience; • Excellent ability to communicate in Afrikaans and English (a third language will be beneficial); • Excellent knowledge of wines (experience in a similar position will be considered favourably); • General knowledge about South Africa and the wine industry; • Computer literacy; • Professional telephone etiquette; • Willingness to work on scheduled holidays and Saturdays as per the roster.
