The highly regarded Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines Team at The Wine Studio, situated on Leeu Estates in Franschhoek, has the above opportunity available for a well-presented leader with excellent administrative and interpersonal skills, paired with the ability to successfully manage a fine wine tasting venue offering the experience of enjoying premium handcrafted and internationally lauded wines. The ideal candidate has a creative mindset, results-oriented personality, and a passion for excellent service delivery in a hospitality- and tourism-driven environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not be limited to): *Wine tastings and sales at the tasting room* Basic operational admin and planning *Handling of local and international deliveries *Maintaining and growing existing customers/markets locally & internationally *Identifying new customers/markets locally & internationally *Stock control *Full management of Wine Studio Staff / team *Presenting monthly reports, and all other duties related to the position. Essential minimum qualifications, skills and experience: • A relevant tertiary qualification (Sales, Marketing, Commerce, or WSET or Cape Wine Academy Diploma) with at least 1 or 2 years’ relevant managerial experience in the wine industry, OR • Approximately 5 years’ experience in a similar position; • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; • In-depth wine knowledge; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office); • Driver’s license and own reliable transport; • Willingness to work public holidays and weekends as required. Beneficial requirements that would be to the applicant’s advantage: • Knowledge of export markets; • Ability to analyse and accurately report on sales. Commencement date: 1st of September 2021.
