Ceres Tuiste, in Ceres, Western Cape, has a position for a General Manager. This position is ideal for an individual who has excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work with stakeholders across different levels, and the skillset to show compassion, while maintaining the relevant standards related to elderly care. This position will be responsible for overall management of the Ceres Tuiste complex, which comprises of unassisted living units (apartment complex and stand alone units) as well as frail care accommodation. Responsibilities will include: *management of services to residents (household, nursing, maintenance, & social services) *management of all protocols (hygiene, safety, emergency plans, etc.) *financial management *personnel & human resource management *special projects *all other tasks relevant to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience • Relevant tertiary qualification; • Knowledge of relevant legislation (Older Persons Act; Housing Development Schemes for Retired Persons Act; Occupational Health & Safety; Nursing Act; Labour Relations Act) will be beneficial; • Approximately 8 - 10 years’ experience in a similar general management role; • Excellent administrative and financial management skills; • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Willingness to work after hours when required; • Driver's license and own reliable transport.
