Our client, a well-established medium-tier Auditing, Accounting and Tax Practice in Durbanville, has the abovementioned exciting and rewarding role within their Accounting department for an individual with excellent leadership and communication skills (Afrikaans & English).
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not be limited to): *Planning and scheduling of projects for clients *Completion and revision of Trainee Accountants’ monthly accounting work outputs *Compliance to auditing and Accounting review standards *Ensure timely delivery of Financial Statements compliant to IFRS standards *Guidance and training to Trainee Junior/Article Accountants *Support to Account Managers and Partners in line with SARS, CIPC and other regulatory compliance and ethical codes of relevant institutions *Manage and develop the internal quality assurance process within portfolio of clients and within the Accounting department *Manage and develop the system of XERO reporting to clients *Ensure continuous development of the Accounting team by staying up to date with regulatory changes and ensuring transfer of needed skills *All other duties related to the role.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Relevant Bcom Accounting degree with completed SAIPA/SAICA articles;
• Minimum 1 year post-articles practical experience is required;
• Strong computer skills (MS Office & XERO software);
• Driver's license and own reliable transport.
