Our client, situated in Century City, has the exciting vacancy of a Financial Accountant within their Financial team. The ideal candidate is a team player with a keen interest to work in the financial-information-technology- and B2B sector.
The successful candidate will report to the Financial and Admin Manager and will be responsible for the following: *preparation of monthly management accounts, accruals, provisions and journals * posting journals *producing monthly trial balances *maintaining Balance Sheet schedules *preparation of annual audit files *assist with the preparation of the annual financial statements *issuing of invoices *assisting with the preparation of payment requisitions *monthly bank and other reconciliations *maintaining the Fixed Asset register *calculation, preparation and submission of Income Tax and VAT returns *SARS related tax queries *general assistance with office management and liaison with suppliers *all other tasks related to the position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• A relevant BCom accounting degree or similar;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial accounting role OR at least 2years' post SAIPA/SAICA articles experience;
• Excellent computer literacy;
• Ability to accurately produce costing figures.
